‘UK Marketplace’ is the Trading Name of ‘UK Marketplace FZC LLC, (Trade Name UK Marketplace), incorporated and registered in the United Arab Emirates under company number 4893 and the registered office address is at Ajman City Freezone, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum St, Ajman, United Arab Emirates.

UK Marketplace operate an e-commerce platform associated with the Websites  www.ukmarketplace.com, www.ukmarketplace.co.uk and www.ukmarketplace.uk together with associated apps that are available for download on the Google Playstore and Apple App Store.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Account and/or User Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.
  • Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with a party, where "control" means ownership of 50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to vote for election of directors or other managing authority.

We take your privacy extremely seriously. We DO NOT share or distribute your Personal Data with any 3rd parties, affiliates, business partners or anyone else whatsoever external to UK Marketplace

At UK Marketplace we have a whole team dedicated to Online Security, who sole purpose is to ensure that the accounts of all our Users and the Platform itself are secure and protected from all kinds of cyber-attacks, unauthorized access, and other related risks. By collecting your data, we can apply specific security measures to accounts on an individual basis as well as in bulk

5.5. To enable you to pay and receive payment for items

Payments on the UK Marketplace Site are carried out via our Payment service provider Stripe, who provides payment processing and escrow services.

Part of your data is required to fulfill our, or our payment service providers’ legal obligations when payment for a purchase or sale is made on your behalf.

If you do not provide us with this personal data, it will not be possible for Stripe to comply with legal requirements, and we will not be able to provide our service on the site.

The primary function during payments that your personal data is required for are to: 

UK Marketplace supervises compliance with and enforces the Terms and Conditions of Use for the Site and Service to ensure the security of your account and the Platform.

5.4. To assure your online security

5.6. For legal compliance

It is essential for our legal and compliance team to have access to your personal data in order to perform tasks as and when required to protect both the legal and procedural interests of both our User Account holders and UK Marketplace.

We DO NOT share your data with any 3rd party for their personal use. However, the following 3rd party contractors may store your data on our behalf outside of the UK which may provide cloud and hosting services, IT security, maintenance and technical services, and communications services:

At UK Marketplace we are continually developing our service and technology to enhance the experience for our users and the service we provide for our sellers, and to enable this we reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time in accordance with regulatory requirements. Any amendments will be published on this page and the date in the header shall be updated. To represent the date this Privacy Policy was updated.

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and other Terms of Service.
